What Good Driving Habits Help with Defensive Driving?

According to SafeMotorist.comand other sources, a defensive driver must regularly:

  • look for and avoid all types of road hazards;
  • wait and only pass others when it’s safe to do so;
  • Share the road with others — yet avoid those who may be driving carelessly;
  • Watch for vehicle emergencies;
  • Keep in mind his/her own vehicle’s stopping distance (tailgating is never wise);
